I started in the beauty industry 16 years ago when I was 20 years old and I am often asked how I got into doing makeup and esthetics. the answer is simply that I was always the girl everyone came to for beauty advice, a makeover, a haircut (yikes), and anything beauty related!

I always found joy in people's reactions after I would work my magic. I truly made others feel confident, and that made me so happy.

​

I started out with an evening makeup course in downtown Edmonton, and I would have so much fun practicing on anyone who would let me do their makeup. I started booking clients and weddings right after I finished my course, and I apologize to any brides who I talked out of getting false lashes- I was so afraid to put them on other people! 

​

I quickly found my footing in the industry and was offered a job at Eveline Charles at their downtown location as a makeup artist. I worked with many clients, bridal parties and fashion photoshoots. I was in love with this industry and saw so many different avenues where I could branch out.  I started to offer makeup lessons, and found a new joy which was teaching others how to be confident in applying their own makeup.

I also had a quick stint at the body shop, and in my 3 months working there, the makeup sales went up by 600%. I didn't even know they sold makeup before I worked there, but it was my top seller!

next up, I joined blush artistry, where I still reside today! I am a subcontracted senior makeup artist, and work with a team of over 30 amazing women. 

​

after a couple of years, I enrolled in a full time esthetics program at a local beauty college where I learned the foundation of all beauty treatments including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, waxing, facials, body treatmentsand laser, and I absolutely loved them all. I became a certified esthetician and laser technician with distinction and ended up being offered a job as an instructor a couple of years after graduating.

I am now renting a room within the blush artistry studio in Sherwood Park, and am offering makeup applications and lessons, facial treatments, laser facial treatments and laser hair removal. I am especially passionate about helping people with face and body acne, as I myself struggled with acne for years & I know how painful it can be both physically and emotionally. ​
